Ingredients

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 c. light cream
3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Combine chocolate and cream in top of double boiler.
Cook over boiling water, stirring occasionally, until smooth.
Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Add enough hot mixture to make a smooth paste.
Combine paste with hot mixture in double boiler.
Cook until smooth and slightly thick, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add pecans, butter and vanilla.
Serve hot or cold.
Makes 2 cups.
