Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2/3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream
shortening,
sugars, add eggs and hot water.
Add flour, soda,
salt,
oatmeal, nuts and vanilla.
Drop by spoonfuls and
bake
at
375\u00b0
for 8 minutes or until brown.
Can be baked in a
9 x 13-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes and cut into bars. Can
substitute
1 cup currants or raisins for chocolate chips.
