Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium potatoes
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Peel and slice potatoes; boil for approximately 5 to 8 minutes. While potatoes are boiling, grease an 8-inch square baking dish. In a medium saucepan, combine the cornstarch, milk, salt, pepper and butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Once sauce thickens, stir in 2 cups of the shredded cheese. Pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Bake in preheated oven until brown (about 30 to 40 minutes).
