Mother'S White Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. butter
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    5 eggs
    1/3 small bottle vanilla flavoring
    1/3 small bottle lemon flavoring
    1 lb. candied cherries, chopped
    1 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
    4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together the sugar and butter; add eggs.
    Sift together the flour and baking powder, then add to sugar and butter.
    Add flavorings. Mix everything by hand.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Put into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
