Cinnamon-Apple Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 unbaked pastry shell
4 medium tart cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced (about 2 3/4 c.)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. half and half milk
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Sprinkle lemon juice over apples and toss lightly.
Add the 1/2 cup sugar.
Arrange in pie shell, cover with foil and bake 20 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
Remove foil.
Beat eggs slightly, beat in cream, butter and nutmeg.
Pour over apples.
Bake another 10 minutes.
Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle on top of pie.
Bake 10 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown and custard is almost set.
