Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. unsalted, raw peanuts
1 c. white corn syrup (Karo)
2 heaping tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
2 c. sugar
1 pinch salt
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put sugar, water, Karo and salt in a large skillet and stir over heat until the mixture reaches 235\u00b0 (soft ball stage).
Add peanuts.
Cook and stir until mixture reaches the \"hard crack\" stage (300\u00b0).
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Add the soda and stir vigorously.
