Nine Day Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. cabbage
2 medium onions (optional)
1 green pepper
2 c. sugar
1 c. salad oil
2 Tbsp. poppy seed
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Shred cabbage, green pepper and onion.
Blend with the 2 c. sugar and set aside.
Combine the remaining ingredients and bring to a full boil, stirring over high heat.
Pour sauce mixture immediately over cabbage mixture and stir thoroughly.
Put this into containers with covers.
Cool and store in refrigerator. Keeps well for many days.
