Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup butter or oleo
    1/2 cup shortening
    3 cup sugar
    7 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 (1 oz.) bottle red food color
    3 cups cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 cup milk
Preparation
    Combine butter, shortening and sugar.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and food coloring.
    Combine salt and flour, add to cream mixture alternatively with milk, bearing well.
    Pour batter into a greased, floured 10 inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325 degrees about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Cook cake completely.
    Frost with cream cheese frosting.
