Hot Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk, scalded and then cooled
Preparation
    Mix together yeast, 1 cup flour, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl.
    Melt shortening and add to cooled milk.
    Mix with yeast mixture.
    Stir well.
    Add egg.
    Add 1 1/2 cups sifted flour and mix well.
    Cover and let rise about 1 1/2 hours.
