Savory Potato Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 5 medium potatoes, peeled, sliced
3 to 4 medium onions, peeled, sliced
2 Tbsp. butter
4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Saute onions in butter in a large skillet until soft and transparent.
In a shallow baking dish, arrange in layers sliced potatoes and onions, sprinkling with garlic and seasonings in between layers for best flavor.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
Add whipping cream all over top.
Increase temperature to 400\u00b0.
Bake for another 10 to 20 minutes until potatoes are soft and fork tender and slightly browned on top.
Serve with barbecued meat, chicken or fish.
