Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco oil
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 lb. orange slice candy, chopped
2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. coconut
1 pkg. chopped dates
3 1/2 c. plain flour

Preparation

Combine sugar and oil.
Mix and add eggs, one at a time.
Add buttermilk.
Sift flour and soda together and add to sugar mixture.
Add candy, nuts, coconut and dates.
Mix well and pour into tube pan that has been greased and floured.
Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 300\u00b0.
