Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in double boiler.
Stir in milk.
Cook until mounds on spoon.
Cook 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Beat egg yolks.
Add some hot mixture; mix well and then add this to the rest of the mixture.
Cook 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Fold in coconut.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
