Fall Caramel Abby Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium apples
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Pare, core and cut apples into small wedges.
    Melt margarine. Add brown sugar in saucepan over low heat.
    Remove saucepan from heat.
    Stir in apples; coat with brown sugar and margarine mixture.
    Add water and nutmeg.
    Cook apples over medium-high heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer on low for about 20 minutes, or until apples are tender.
    Serve warm or cold.
