Broccoli Madeline Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 1/2 oz. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar
    8 oz. fresh broccoli, cut into 1/2 inch florets
    2 ounces purple onion, diced
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 1/2 oz. bacon bits
    2 oz. raisins
    shelled sunflower seeds
    chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar for dressing. Wash and drain broccoli. Remove stalk and cut florets into bite-sized pieces. Combine broccoli, onion, bacon bits, cheese and raisins. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and mix lightly. Chill well. Just before serving, top with sunflower seeds or pecans.
