Sauerkraut Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, drained
2/3 c. onion, finely chopped
1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation

In large skillet fry bacon until crisp.
Drain on paper towels, crumble and set aside.
Add onion to drippings in skillet.
Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often until lightly brown and tender.
Drain on paper towels.
In large bowl combine tomatoes, sauerkraut, brown sugar, bacon and onion.
Turn the mixture into a 2-quart casserole. Cover and refrigerate at least 5 hours or overnight.
Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Makes 6 servings.
