Boiled Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    water (to cover raisins)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    flour (for raisins)
Preparation
    Cover raisins with boiling water.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Cool. Set aside.
