Hot Pole Bean-Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. new potatoes, peeled and cut into 3/4 inch cubes
    1 lb. fresh green beans, cut in 1-1/2 inch pieces, or frozen cut green beans
    6 slices crisp bacon
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and beans, covered, in boiling salted water in a large pan until tender; drain vegetables. Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet and drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings in pan. Crumble bacon. Saute onion in drippings; stir into vegetables. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables, stirring well. Add bacon. Toss gently. Serve warm. Yields 6-8 servings.
