Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage (hot or mild)
    1 (7 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 small jar salsa
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/2 c. chopped peppers
    1 c. rice
    8 oz. pkg. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Brown sausage in skillet with onions and peppers.
    Drain.
    Add tomato sauce and salsa and simmer on low.
    Cook rice as indicated on package.
    Serve sausage mixture on top of rice and sprinkle with cheese.
