Southern Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. squash
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. crumbled crackers
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Wash squash and slice, then cook in salt water for 10 minutes. Drain and wash the squash.
    Mash the squash and place in a medium bowl.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
