Barley Burger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef consomme
    2/3 c. barley
    4 carrots, diced
    4 celery stalks
    6 sprigs parsley
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart pot and simmer for 1 hour.
    Adjust seasonings as desired.
