Apple Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In 3 quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat. Blend in sugar and egg. Add remaining ingredients, mix until blended. Turn into greased and floured 9 or 10-inch pie pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly. Serve warm or cold; cut in wedges and top with whipped cream or ice cream.
