Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Melt butter or shortening; remove from heat.
    Add brown sugar; mix well.
    Add egg, vanilla and flour mixture.
    Bake in a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Do not overbake.
