Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. celery, diced
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
    1 sweet onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp
    3 tomatoes, diced
Preparation
    Tear lettuce and put in salad bowl.
    Layer celery, eggs, peas, onion and green pepper.
    Spread mayonnaise on top.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
    Top with tomatoes.
    Refrigerate 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
