Ingredients

2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. canned cherries
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream together first 7 ingredients.
Place cherries in a 9-inch square pan.
Cover with dough mixture. Sprinkle brown sugar over top and add boiling water.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
