Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. hot water
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add well-beaten egg, molasses and hot water.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Pour into well-greased baking pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
