Marinated Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (16 oz.) cans black-eyed peas
    1 c. salad oil
    1/2 c. wine vinegar
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 c. onion, sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. stuffed green olives, sliced (optional)
Preparation
    Drain peas; add remaining ingredients.
    Refrigerate in covered container for at least 24 hours.
    Remove garlic bud.
    Will keep 2 weeks.
    Great for New Year's.
