Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe

16 single saltine crackers, rolled into crumbs
16 dates, cut up
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 egg whites
Preparation

Mix cracker crumbs, dates, pecans and sugar.
Beat until stiff egg whites and baking powder.
Fold both mixtures together and pour into well-buttered 9-inch pie plate.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Refrigerate.
Top with whipped cream.
