Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    medium size cabbage, grated
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 bell pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, diced fine
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cabbage in cold water a while if you have time.
    Add salt to enough water to cover cabbage.
    Put over cabbage and let set 15 minutes.
    Stir occasionally, squeeze out real dry and add pepper and onion. Measure sugar and vinegar.
    Add to cabbage. This slaw will keep in refrigerator for 3 weeks.
