Frosted Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 c. walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix the buttermilk and sugar. Cook slowly until soft ball stage, approximately 15 minutes. Take off heat. Add the vanilla, then the nuts.
    Stir until covered. Spread on wax paper in pan. Break apart with fork. Store in tin.
    Delicious!
