Fruit Liqueur - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 gal. berries or fruit
    1 (2 lb.) box cubed sugar
    vodka
Preparation
    Fill a 1 gallon wide-mouth jar 2/3 full of any kind of berry or fruit, which should be quite ripe and washed.
    Add cubed sugar and press down with wooden spoon.
    Fill jar with vodka.
    In a few days, fruit will rise to top.
    Press down and fill with vodka. Let stand 6 weeks, then strain into a bottle.
