A-1 Hot Buttered Rum Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/2 pint vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook butter and sugars over medium heat beating gently with a whisk until it becomes light in color, about 10 minutes.
    Stir in the spices and the ice cream; blend well. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.
    Use a heaping teaspoon per drink, adding a shot of rum and boiling water to fill the mug.
