Water Chestnuts And Bacon(Appetizer) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) cans whole water chestnuts
    1 lb. sliced bacon
Preparation
    Drain chestnuts.
    Cut bacon strips into 3 pieces each.
    Wrap 1/3 bacon strip around each chestnut.
    Overlap ends of bacon and insert a toothpick into, but not through, chestnut.
    Arrange on a cookie sheet, leaving 1/2-inch space between each.
    Broil approximately 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp or bake at 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
    Remove pieces to a plate with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
    Serve hot. Serves 4 to 6 people.
