Russian Rocks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs, beaten separately
    3/4 c. dates or raisins
    3/4 c. nuts
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Mix in order given and drop from tip of spoon on a greased cookie sheet and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
