Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Mix flour mixture a little at a time into liquid.
    Stir to mix well. Turn dough out on floured board.
    Roll out and cut with a glass or a cookie cutter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until done.
