Doubly Good Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tsp. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
7 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. water
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl; mix 2 minutes on low speed of electric mixer and set aside.
Combine flour with remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix 3 minutes with a heavy-duty electric mixer at medium speed (5).
Add yeast mixture and mix 3 minutes at medium speed.
Cover and let rise in a warm place (85\u00b0), free from drafts, about 3 hours or until the dough has doubled in bulk.
Punch dough down.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
With lightly floured hands, shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Place in 3 greased 9-inch round pans.
Let dough rise in a warm place (85\u00b0), free from drafts, about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Bake rolls at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields about 2 1/2 dozen.
