Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
    1 onion, diced
    3 carrots, diced
    3 stalks celery, diced
    1 small can peeled tomatoes
    1 smoked sausage or 1 lb. ham, chopped
    1 potato, diced
    lentils
Preparation
    Fry bacon and onion until golden brown.
    Add carrots, celery and potato.
    Stir for 5 minutes.
    Add peeled tomatoes, lentils and ham or sausage.
    Add enough water to cover.
    Let simmer for 4 hours.
