Strawberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
4 egg yolks*
1 tsp. nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. soda in 1 c. buttermilk
1 pt. strawberry preserves
1/2 box raisins
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour

Preparation

*Beat egg whites and add at last.
Mix all ingredients.
Pour in 4 deep cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
