Hoe Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
water
oil
Preparation
-
Mix salt in meal, then pour water in the meal.
Add enough water to thin it so it will pour out of the bowl real slow.
Drop batter by spoonfuls on a hot, oiled griddle or skillet.
Turn until both sides are brown.
You will have to re-oil the skillet between each panful.
