Pot Roast With Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    3 to 4 lb. rolled, boned beef chuck or round
    2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. water
    6 carrots
    2 lb. peeled onions
    6 medium potatoes, pared and halved
Preparation
    Heat margarine in Dutch oven.
    Add meat and brown well, then sprinkle with salt and pepper; add water.
    Cover and simmer 2 hours.
    Add vegetables.
    Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour more.
