Poor Man'S Cheese Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs
    approximately 1 loaf white bread without crust
    salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Butter both sides of bread.
    Put in Pyrex dish.
    Layer with 1/2 of cheese.
    Put another layer of bread, then rest of cheese.
    Beat eggs and milk together with seasonings.
    Pour over, cover and refrigerate overnight.
    (Push bread down with spoon if it floats.) Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes (take off foil for last 15 minutes).
