Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 box coconut
5 Tbsp. flour
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Divide coconut in half.
Use half in pie and save half to sprinkle on top of meringue.
Mix flour and sugar well.
Add milk slowly, stirring well to blend.
Add well-beaten egg yolks.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Place in double boiler and cook until thick. Pour into baked pie shell.
Top with meringue and coconut.
Brown in oven.
