3 Day Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, sliced round or strips
    1 gal. water
    3 c. lime
    5 lb. sugar
    3 qt. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours.
    Drain and cover with clear water for 3 hours (change water once each hour). Prepare juice and heat to boiling.
    Pour hot juice over drained cucumbers and let set overnight.
    Next morning, heat for 30 minutes and place in jars.
    Seal while warm.
