Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 large eggs
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, margarine, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 19 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack. If using self-rising flour, omit cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
