Meatballs And Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 medium onion
1 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
2 large cans tomato sauce
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
2 cans (sauce size) water
pinch of baking soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. basil
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
garlic to taste
mushrooms (optional)
oregano (optional)
Preparation

Render until clear, 1/2 medium chopped onion in olive or vegetable oil.
Add all the remaining ingredients.
When the sauce comes to a boil, drop in the meatballs.
Bring back to a boil, then simmer for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally to make sure the sauce does not stick.
