Hash Brown Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large potatoes
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/4 c. oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and slice crosswise.
    Peel onion and slice in rings.
    Add oil to iron skillet and heat.
    Add potatoes, onions, salt and pepper.
    Add 1 tablespoon water.
    Cover and cook until tender.
    Remove lid; stir and brown.
