Molasses Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. melted lard
    1 egg
    1 tsp. each: cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
    1 c. Swans Down cake flour
    1 dessert spoon soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients together.
    The last thing, add one cup of boiling water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for about 30 minutes. Watch it because molasses burns easily.
    Stick knife in.
    When it comes out clean,
    it's done.
