Sweet Onion Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. chopped sweet onions (Vidalia is best)
1/4 c. bacon drippings
2 tsp. salt to taste
1 tsp. pepper
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

Place onion and bacon drippings in thick pan or skillet.
Add salt and pepper.
Saute until onions are tender.
Let this simmer. Mix flour and enough water for a thickening.
Pour in mixture and cook until thick like gravy.
Serve with rice or toast.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
