Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. pork steak
    1 1/2 lb. beef (steak or stew meat)
    8 medium onions, cut up
    1 bunch celery, cut in strips
    1 can bean sprouts
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
Preparation
    Cut meat in small cubes. Brown meat and onions for 45 min. Cover with water, add celery and tsp. salt. Simmer 2 hours. Then add bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Simmer for another hour. Thicken sauce with flour and water. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
