Chocolate Praline Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter (no substitutes)
1/4 c. whipping cream
3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1 pkg. devil's food cake (18 1/4 oz.)
1 3/4 c. whipping cream
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
chocolate curls (if desired)
Preparation

In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and 1/4 cup whipping cream. Stir over low heat until butter is melted. Pour into 2 greased 9-inch round cake pans. Sprinkle with pecans and set aside. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Carefully pour batter over pecans. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes then invert onto wire racks to cool completely.
