Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    sugar
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and 1 cup sugar in bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Blend well. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place balls about 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes; makes 3 1/2 dozen.
